Dear Laura,
It's sounds like you are worried that there may be something physically wrong with you. Since this is a new issue for you, I strongly suggest you make an appointment with an ob/gyn nurse practitioner or doctor for a full physical exam and lab work. It may be a hormonal or a physical problem. The good news is, these conditions can be corrected. If your ob/gyn can't find any reason for this change, then it may be that you have a new anxiety disorder. It sounds like you get very anxious when you are intimate with your husband. If it is anxiety, I recommend therapy, not medication. Because it is so specific to a certain situation, it may be like a phobia reaction. In other words, for some reason you are having an anxiety episode only during those moments with your husband. Therapy can help you gain insight into why that is happening. Good luck and let us know how things turn out.
